The Romeo & A12/F12 In Print. Camions

Alfa Romeo Camion

A superb book from the foremost Italian publisher of books on Italian trucks & buses, written by Massimo Condolo.

The first book ever to be published which is dedicated solely to Alfa Romeo trucks & light commercials.

Whilst Alfa Romeo cars are acknowledged for their style, many Alfa Romeo trucks were equally stylish and handsome, as shown in the photos in this book. Information within Alfa Romeo on non-car products is very sparse, yet the author has managed to gather together a large amount of information and photographs on the development of Alfa Romeo trucks, from the 85 through to the Mille, and light commercial vehicles such as the Romeo & A12, from the 1930s through to the 1980s.

A "must-have" for any enthusiast of the Portello era who has a wider motoring interest than just cars.

110 pages, 165 B&W photos, English & Italian text, hardback with dust jacket.
ISBN 88-9009-552-0

Le Ambulanze Italiane

A thoroughly well researched book from Edizioni Negri, published in 2003 & documenting the evolution of the Italian ambulance.

Starting with horse drawn ambulances in the early 1900s, the book charts progress through functional WW1 military vehicles, through handsome coachbuilts on large motorcar chassis either side of WW2, through to the modern ambulances as we know them today. And along the way there is much documentation of the Romeo 2 ambulance by Colli (described as the ambulance "par excellence").

As an owner of a Colli Romeo 2 ambulanza, this book was a must-have for me!

The English text is a particularly high quality translation.

135 pages, b&w and colour photos, Italian & English text, hardback with dust jacket.

Alfazioso

Alfazioso by Gippo Salvetti tells the reader of one man's love affair with special cars, 12 cars which are close to his heart. Each is described in detail, not in boring techno-speak, but how it entered his life, accompanied by many well composed photos.

Gippo Salvetti is well known for running the Alfa Blue Team, a club for dedicated Alfisti in the Milan area, which has an Alfa Romeo cooker in its meeting room. I want one of those!

Alfazioso covers the Giulia SS, 1900 Matta, 2000 102 series Berlina, Giulietta Promiscua, 2600 OSI, 2600 SZ, Giulia GTC, F12 high roof minibus, Montreal, Alfa 6, 75 Turbo Evoluzione & SZ (ES30)

An interesting & amusing book, after reading it you will understand what makes Gippo tick & probably share his passion for some of these vehicles.

120 pages, profusely illustrated with original colour photos, Italian & English text, hardback with dust jacket.
